New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft purchased longtime former quarterback Tom Brady's rookie card for $120,000 during a recent auction, TMZ Sports reports.

Several Brady items were featured during the 'Holy Grails' auction, including a 2000 rookie card signed by the eventual seven-time Super Bowl champion. The card is reported to have been graded mint condition at 9.5 out of 10 by Beckett Grading Services and is extremely rare as only a few cards were printed due to Brady being selected at No. 199 overall in the sixth-round of the 2000 NFL Draft.

"It is among the highest condition copies of the card ever certified and, at the time of cataloging, no other example of this card has been graded higher by Beckett," Sotheby's said via TMZ Sports.

Kraft, 83, whose net worth is estimated to be $11.8 billion, won paid $120,000 during the auction to purchase the card that led to the Patriots winning an NFL franchise record six Super Bowls (tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers).

"He has accomplished everything there is to achieve in this game, and so much more," Kraft previously said of Brady following his retirement announcement in 2023. "No player in NFL history has done it as well for as long as Tom Brady. He is the fiercest competitor I have ever known and the ultimate champion."
