Schenectady Police Investigate Stabbing Near VibeZ Bar

Schenectady police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred early Sunday morning (March 30) near VibeZ Bar and Lounge on State Street. Officers responded to reports of trouble in the area around 2:57 a.m. Shortly afterward, a victim with non-life-threatening injuries arrived at Ellis Hospital for treatment.

According to Times Union, the stabbing took place outside the club, marking at least the third violent incident linked to VibeZ since February 2020. Schenectady police Sergeant Nolan Carroll confirmed the location of the incident but did not provide further details due to the ongoing investigation.

CBS6 Albany reports that no arrests have been made, and police are urging anyone with information to contact the Schenectady Police Department’s Tips Line at (518) 788-6566. The victim's identity has not been released.

The area near VibeZ has a history of violence, including a deadly shooting in July 2022. The State Liquor Authority fined the establishment following that incident. Police continue to seek leads in the current case.
