The New York State Department of Labor is hosting the Dr. King Career Fair today (April 10) at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany, New York. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and aims to connect job seekers with over 170 businesses from various industries.
This career fair, now in its 25th year, is one of the most widely attended events in the Capital Region. It offers attendees a range of services, including resume reviews, onsite workshops, and professional headshot photos. Additionally, the event features a pop-up career center, a computer resource area, and virtual reality career exploration. The New York State Department of Motor Vehicles will also be present to provide information about the REAL ID.
The career fair is sponsored by the New York State Department of Labor in collaboration with the Office of General Services, the Governor’s Office of the Chief Disability Officer, and the Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA). Free event parking is available at the MVP Arena Parking Garage, and CDTA is offering a free shuttle service from the Lincoln Park Pool House every 15 minutes.
