Northumberland Man Faces Judge for Infant Assault

Cody Falconio, a 31-year-old resident of Northumberland is scheduled to appear in court today following accusations of assaulting an infant. Authorities allege that Falconio attacked the child last month, causing bruising to the head and face. The incident reportedly occurred on April 24, when Falconio allegedly grabbed the child, who is under one year old, in a harmful manner.

The following day, on April 25, the New York State Police in Wilton received a report about the mistreatment of the child. An investigation led to Falconio's arrest on charges of assault in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child. He was processed at the State Police barracks in Wilton and later arraigned at the Moreau Town Court, where he posted a $5,000 bail.
