Two suspects, Jordan Johnson, 18, and David LaRose, 20, have been indicted by a Washington County grand jury in connection with a double homicide in Fort Ann, New York. The two men from Albany are accused of murdering Marcus Macaulay and Adam Darrah, both 19, during an attempted robbery on Clay Hill Road on May 22. The victims were found with gunshot wounds and later pronounced dead at Glens Falls Hospital.

According to CBS6 Albany, witnesses described seeing the victims lying in the road and a white sedan speeding away from the scene. One witness reported hearing someone knocking on their car window, saying, "They’re shot, call 911."

Court documents reveal that the suspects targeted Macaulay and Darrah for a robbery, although it is unclear what they intended to steal. Johnson and LaRose were arrested within 48 hours of the incident. Johnson faces additional charges for tampering with evidence after allegedly instructing someone to "flush the bullets" and erase data from LaRose’s phone.

The New York State Police confirmed that both suspects are held without bail at the Washington County Correctional Facility. They are charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. The investigation is ongoing, and the case has been moved to Washington County Court.

Macaulay, a line cook who aspired to be an underwater welder, and Darrah, known for his loyalty, were both residents of Glens Falls. A roadside memorial has been established on Clay Hill Road in their memory. Calling hours for Macaulay will be held at the Singleton Sullivan Potter Funeral Home in Queensbury.
