Teen Charged with Arson in Victory Mills Fire

A 14-year-old has been charged with arson following a significant fire at the historic Victory Mills building in Victory Mills. The fire, which occurred on Saturday afternoon (May 31), completely engulfed the five-story former factory, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Fire crews arrived at the scene around 2:30 p.m. to find the building fully ablaze.

Multiple fire departments responded to the emergency, working together to control the flames. The Saratoga County Cause and Origin team is currently investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the fire. The case involving the young suspect will be handled in family court.
