Capital Region motorists are experiencing savings at the pump as gas prices continue to decline. According to AAA, the average cost for a gallon of regular fuel is currently $3.10, reflecting a two-cent drop over the past week and a nine-cent decrease from a month ago. The New York state average stands at $3.16, while the national average is slightly lower at $3.14.

The trend of lower gas prices is attributed to stable crude oil prices, which are averaging around $65 per barrel. This stability has kept gas prices from experiencing significant fluctuations throughout 2025, providing relief to drivers during the summer months.

In Florida, the average price for a gallon of gas is $3.09, slightly below the national average. AAA reports that gas prices across various states, including Vermont and New Jersey, are also showing similar trends of stability and slight decreases.
