Kenneth Radley, a 45-year-old man, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for breaking into an apartment in Albany, New York, on August 6, 2024. Radley was found guilty of third-degree burglary after he entered a South Lake Avenue apartment, where he took a bath, ate food from the refrigerator, and wore the resident's clothes. When the apartment's tenant returned home, he discovered Radley wearing his black tank top, gray sweatpants, and white Adidas sneakers. Radley insisted that the apartment was his and refused to leave, resulting in a brief physical altercation. The tenant managed to pin Radley down until the Albany Police Department arrived, according to News10.

Radley had also attempted to break into another apartment in the same building earlier that day. In addition to his prison sentence, Radley will serve five years of post-release supervision, as reported by WNYT.

Assistant District Attorney Stephen Lydon of the Major Crimes Unit prosecuted the case. Radley's sentencing highlights the seriousness with which the Albany County District Attorney's Office treats burglary offenses.
