Albany police are actively investigating a homicide that occurred on Tuesday night (November 4) in the area of Robin Street and Bradford Street. Officers responded to reports of a stabbing at around 7:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found 34-year-old Edward Ponder suffering from multiple stab wounds. Despite efforts by emergency crews from the Albany Fire Department and EMS, Ponder was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made so far. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Albany Police Detective Division at (518) 462-8039. According to CBS6 Albany, the police are seeking assistance from the public to solve this case.
