The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) has announced the temporary closure of the pedestrian path over the Dunn Memorial Bridge in Albany. The closure will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday (November 10) and is expected to last until 7 p.m. on December 1. This maintenance work will affect pedestrians and cyclists who use the bridge to travel between Albany and Rensselaer.

The DOT advises those affected to use the Capital Region Transportation Authority’s (CDTA) 114 bus route as an alternative during the closure. This bus route connects the Albany terminal and the Joseph L. Bruno Train Station in Rensselaer. Travelers should plan for potential traffic delays and allow extra time for their journeys.

According to NEWS10, the construction schedule is weather-dependent and may be subject to change. The DOT has not specified the exact nature of the maintenance work but emphasizes the importance of completing these updates for safety reasons.
