Troy police are actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred at the Griswold Heights public housing complex. A 43-year-old man was shot in the arm and later walked into Samaritan Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The victim stated he does not know the shooter, and the suspect fled the scene.
The shooting happened near Building 2 at the Griswold Heights Apartments, as reported by the victim. Officers were alerted to the incident when the victim arrived at the hospital around 5 a.m. on Wednesday (December 9). According to News10, the police confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Troy Police Department at (518) 270-4421. The investigation is ongoing as officers work to identify and apprehend the shooter.
