The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) has introduced a new Stroller Pilot Program on select bus routes in Albany to enhance convenience for families traveling with young children. Starting Monday (December 15), certain buses in the CDTA fleet now feature designated stroller areas, allowing children to remain seated in their strollers during the ride.
This initiative, which comes in response to feedback from both employees and customers, aims to improve the overall customer experience. According to CDTA, each bus can accommodate only one open stroller at a time. If the designated area is occupied, other customers with strollers may be asked to fold their strollers or wait for the next bus.
The pilot program includes routes #905, #763, #351, #600, #601, #605, #450, #370, #352, #353, #452, and #810. CDTA encourages riders to share their experiences and feedback on this new initiative through their website. For additional information, customers can contact CDTA’s Customer Service Center at (518) 482-8822.
